Debate on portable cultures, nomadic cultures
ACE Assembly of Cultures of Europe, Debate Abbaye de Neumunster, Luxemburg

The IYMF organizes a debate on "nomadic cultures vs. sedentary cultures in Europe" in cooperation with Nicolas Tavitian. This meeting will take place in Luxembourg, at the Abbey of Neumünster, which welcomes us from 25 April to 27 April.

The objective is to gather 20 people - experts in cultures, academics, activists in Europe and artists - to discuss, exchange experiences and work together on the preparation of two artistic workshops during 2008, which will be dedicated to the same topic (in Normandy in May and in Glasgow in September 2008). This meeting in Luxembourg is organized under the "Assembly of Cultures" programme. Next year, the topic will be "cultures and the environment".

Facilitators: M. Poncelet (IYMF), F. Chabaud (IYMF), Nicolas Tavitian
Participants: Jérôme Ceccon (Research Fellow, university of Antwerp); George Prevelakis (Professeur Sorbonne Paris); Susan Pattie (Research Fellow, UC London), Professeur Thomas Gergely (Institut du Judaïsme Brussels); Simon-Pierre Nothomb (the Europeans Throughout the world); Ivan Ivanov (European Roma Information Office (ERIO)); Yelena van Immerzeel- Kharitonova (Caravancultura Foundation); Ania Marchand (Researcher); Alan Bern (The Other Europeans); Claire Nouradian
