On 7 December 2004, at the Cirque Royal of Brussels, women of different origins have united their voices to transmit jointly a message of love: the discovery and the voyage towards the other, in a world where the lack of understanding and trust increasingly rules.
A Gypsy tale staged by Hamadi, performed by children of the MUS-E programme together with Christine Adrien and Magali Mineur.

On the occasion of his 80th birthday Yehudi Menuhin presented his son Jeremy to the Belgian public for the first time. He interpreted a Mozart concerto under the baton of his father. Yehudi Menuhin also conducted Vadim Repin, former winner of the Queen Elisabeth Competition, in Lalo’s Symphonie Espagnole as well a symphony by Beethoven that the Sinfonia Varsovia interpreted with its usual virtuosity.
Presented by Yehudi Menuhin and Ravi Shankar, this concert was the story of a journey, which began in India. It was the story of nomads hunted down because of their differences. A story of resignation and ecstasy expressed by different types of music which, though separated geographically, are united through their rhythm and movements and make us think we are all brothers with a single language: that of dreamers, of nomads, the hunted, the adventurers, those who courted beneath the stars and heard the voice of their hearts.
"Is it not from the heart that Europe will be understood, my dear people of Brussels?" is the question raised by Yehudi Menuhin for the two Belgian/European benefit concerts.

The International Yehudi Menuhin Foundation organised its second Gala concert at the Royal Circus on 21st October 1993. The Foundation’s main aim is to develop international links between musicians, particularly among the young. The theme of this concert took therefore the form of a journey through cultures, the common strand being the violin in its different guises.
