INSIDE Maison Repos: Catherine Maufroy
On Saturday, October 26th, the International Yehudi Menuhin Foundation organized its 4th concert at the Serenia retirement home in Bouillon. SERENIA is the new name of the Tournay-Solvay Residence, recognized for over 50 years for its services to the elderly in a peaceful and green environment. SERENIA combines high-quality care and hospitality, offering a secure environment, warmth, and kindness, while also meeting the innovative needs required for the well-being and personal growth of seniors.
And since personal growth also comes through music and the arts, we established a partnership with SERENIA in 2024 around music, thanks to the valuable support of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. This time, it was Catherine Maufroy who performed, accompanied by her pianist Daniela Rodo, with a repertoire blending opera, operetta, and French chanson. This made for a beautiful musical exchange with the residents, who were as enthusiastic as ever to discover new talents and join in by singing along.
