In in the framework of a project with Theatre National Wallonie-Bruxelles, students from a secondary school are creating their end of year theatre piece with dance troup « the youngsters » and artists from the IYMF. This week, music artist Archil is giving workshops to help the student create some sound boxes that they will use to make electronic music for their final presentation, which will take place at the Théâtre National Wallonie-Bruxelles in April.” 

During the two-day workshop, artist Archil gave tools to the students who made some “soundboxes” with random objects added onto the boxes. The final step was to add some small microphones in the boxes, that were then connected to a computer through a cable, allowing the students to make sounds and music trhough this original instrument. The soundboxes will be used live by the students during the final presentation of their theatre piece, to give some musical dynamic to the piece.
