Isabelle Maurel

For the past twenty years, Isabelle has been studying and exploring improvisation, interdisciplinarity, proximity with all types of audience, performance and ground work about the five elements. She addressed these themes from a theoretical point of view on the basis of her studies in art history and ethnology as well as from a practical point of view through dancing: improvised dances in different cultural contexts and certain African and Afro-American dances. The initiator of many choreographic works, she also plays an active part in the MUS-E programme in Paris.
