Le dialogue interculturel des jeunes : de l’image à la réalité
À l’occasion de l’Année européenne du dialogue interculturel et de la Présidence française de l’Union européenne, KYRNEA International organise, avec le patronage de la Commission nationale française pour l’UNESCO, « les Rencontres européennes des jeunes et de l’image » du 20 novembre au 6 décembre à Paris. Les REJI sont parrainées par les réalisateurs Magaly Richard-Serrano (Dans les cordes) et Radu Mihaileanu, ambassadeur européen pour le dialogue interculturel (Va, vis et deviens).

“Mosaic of cultures” in Slovakia
“THE MOZAIC OF THE CULTURES”, one of the European Year key events in Slovakia was held at the end of October in Nitra with a great success. The European festival entitled “Together in diversity” brought numbers of cultural events, debates, workshops and concerts to all visitors.

La Quinzaine du dialogue interculturel
La Ville de Mons est attentive à la dimension de l’égalité des chances. L’an dernier, les « 10 jours pour l’égalité des chances», coordonnés par le Service des Affaires sociales, avait attiré environ 500 citoyens. Un beau résultat pour une première action qui laissait envisager de belles pistes à explorer. Et c’est chose faite ! Dans le cadre de l’année européenne du dialogue interculturel, la Ville de Mons propose, en étroite collaboration avec l’asbl Picardie Laïque, la quinzaine du dialogue interculturel.

International Conference: From Multiculturalism to Intercultural Dialogue
The Department for Interethnic Relations (Government of Romania) and the Information Bureau of the Council of Europe in Romania - benefiting from the support of the Intercultural Institute in Timisoara - have organized a conference entitled From Multiculturalism to Intercultural Dialogue. The conference was aimed at better profiling the views of theoreticians and practitioners of the intercultural phenomenon in Romania, as well as at discussing the methods of promotion of this type of dialogue even after December 2008. The event was planned as part of the 2008 EYID campaign and brought together numerous public figures from the academia, NGOs, including the organisations of national minorities, institutions that have made up the EYID Working Group in Romania, foreign guest speakers, as well as journalists.

Closing Conference of the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue 2008: New Perspectives for Intercultural Dialogue in Europe
Over 600 participants from across Europe and beyond gather today in Paris to evaluate the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue 2008 in a closing conference entitled "New Perspectives for Intercultural Dialogue in Europe". With hundreds of activities and projects highlighted, promoted and disseminated during this Year, the communication campaign has raised awareness throughout Europe of the importance and benefits of intercultural dialogue. Building on this experience, the aim of the conference is to look to the future of Europe from the point of view of cultural diversity.
