Lux Audience Award
The International Yehudi Menuhin Foundation is delighted to partner with the Fundación Yehudi Menuhin España to celebrate Eva Libertad, winner of the LUX 2026 Audience Award for her film “Sorda,” which was presented to her at the European Parliament on April 14. This award is particularly significant as Eva was part of the MUS-E artists’ team in Spain.
During the award ceremony, held in the European Parliament’s hemicycle, Vice-President Sabine Verheyen emphasized that this film “encourages us to listen distinctly and to build a Europe where everyone can be heard.”
Eva recalls the years she led theater workshops in the MUS-E programme in Spain: “It was a time of great learning in my life. The children’s creativity and sensitivity, the teachers’ dedication, the co-creation with other artists… All of this made me deeply believe in the power of art to unite people, beyond differences, to transform the world.”
Our Honorary President, Enrique Barón Crespo, President of the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation Spain and former President of the European Parliament, is particularly pleased with this Prize, which celebrates an artistic journey linked to the defense of the values promoted by Yehudi Menuhin.
