MUS-E® starts in Greece

Throughout 2025, significant progress was made toward establishing and strengthening the MUS-E® Programme in Greece. In May, Marianne Poncelet, IYMF Executive Vice-President, met with the Museum of Greek Children’s Art to prepare the programme’s launch in Athens, including visits to two primary schools in Ilioupoli that would later join the initiative. Following the MUS-E® training provided by IYMF, the programme was officially launched in October 2025 in the 5th, 15th, and 20th Primary Schools of Ilioupoli, in the district of Athens. Since then, it has gained strong momentum, with two MUS-E® artists offering weekly animation and comic-art workshops that foster creativity, inclusion, and essential learning skills in line with Greece’s national “Skills Workshops” framework. MUS-E Greece coordinated by the Museum of Greek Children’s Art is already planning the programme’s expansion to Kalamata, marking an important step in its national development.
