On the 10th of June, IYMF and its partners had the pleasure to host the Ode2Joy – Up2date event, in JEF Europe’s offices — an Erasmus+ funded project — gathering 55 people, ranging from experts on civic education, European projects, and artistic education, to high school students from Belgium and France.

The day was opened with a roundtable on the universality of music and its impact on raising awareness about EU citizenship among young people. It was also filled with creative and singing workshops around the Ode2Joy, our European anthem. Partners and schoolteachers also brainstormed about the importance of creating a pedagogical toolkit to teach in an original, fun, and innovative way the Ode2Joy‘s history, values, and its contribution to students’ perception of European citizenship.
