International MUSIC Workshop & Concert, 12–17 June 2006
(Alee-sur-Semois, Belgium & Château de Schengen, Luxembourg)

Lead by: Thierry Van Roy

Under the guidance of Thierry Van Roy, music expert and producer, specialising on world music, several musicians from the MUS-E® network worked together to create a common repertoire which was performed during a private concert after the workshop. The initial group of MUS-E musicians that worked together on the Music Composition Workshop in October 2005 (from Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Portugal, Spain) will be enlarged with other musicians from the MUS-E® Network, from countries such as Scotland, Switzerland, Sweden, Estonia, Ireland, and other. This workshop provides also the opportunity for each musician to explain his musical practices at school with children in the framework of the MUS-E® programme.

Expected results:

1) Reinforce the sense of belonging to an artistic Network, which is strengthened by a collective collaboration in a specific field
2) Sharing of artistic practices which can be shown to outside audiences
3) Explore ways of creating new partnerships with private companies interested in sharing creative processes of learning together
4) Discovery of new territories where cooperation can be build up (in this case: Luxembourg) with the help of local sponsors and media
5) Creation of new products to be shared with the MUS-E® Network and with new partners (e.g. DVD, CD)

For more information please contact the IYMF. The programme and other information will be soon available.
