International Coordinators' Committee

The purpose of this Committee, co-ordinated by the IYMF, is to research the content and ethics of the MUS-E® project and develop an evolutionary, efficient programme, well-adapted to individual environments, regions and types of school.

Common working areas:

Among the main aims of the ICC is to reinforce the function of MUS-E® as an international network, benefiting of the huge experience gathered through the years by the MUS-E countries.

In this context, the ICC developed the following common working areas:

  • Sharing national experiences
  • Training of coordinators
  • Elaboration of common projects
  • Common methodologies for the training of artists
  • Evaluation, improvement and quality control,
  • Promotion of research on the principles of arts and education and the MUS-E® programme, and
  • Any other matters assigned to it by the IYMF for the development of the MUS-E® programme

The International Coordinators’ Committee (ICC) currently brings together the national co-ordinators of the countries in which MUS-E® is established and members of the IYMF. The ICC was set up in 2000 and meets usually twice a year.

Serving as a common tool, the MUS-E® Intranet provides a platform of external and internal communication among all MUS-E participants and the members of the ICC. It serves moreover as a database with useful information on arts and education, presentations of the MUS-E artists, and all latest news from the MUS-E® Network.

Meetings:

The ICC usually holds one meeting each year, organised and hosted by the IYMF, which focuses on aspects of communication, development, and follow-up of the work done by individual task forces.

Furthermore, national MUS-E Associations/Foundations can organise meetings focusing on a specific area, such as the meetings on the Evaluation of the MUS-E® programme organised regularly by the FYME.
