The MUS-E Network

The MUS-E® programme is currently established in Belgium, Brazil, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Portugal, Scotland, Spain and Switzerland. Furthermore, contacts have been made to set up MUS-E® programmes in Lithuania.

Created by the International Yehudi Menuhin Foundation (IYMF) in 1994, MUS-E currently involves more than 45.000 children, 350 primary schools, and 800 artists.

The IYMF is responsible for the international coordination of MUS-E, aiming to stimulate an on-going process of development and communication, promote good practices and facilitate international exchanges.

In this context the IYMF is
-    organising meetings and training sessions for the MUS-E coordinators,
-    organising international artistic workshops for the MUS-E artists
-    engaging MUS-E schools in international projects
-    coordinating actions on European and international level
-    organising events for the promotion of MUS-E artists
-    providing common tools on communication, administration, fundraising, and other areas as necessary
-    promoting communication among the MUS-E network and also with other networks, institutions or sponsors

In the framework of the MUS-E® Network, the International Coordinators’ Committee (ICC), comprised of the national coordinators of each MUS-E country, was set up in 2000. For more information please visit the ICC section.
